Components "Oftalamin" derived from the eye tissues of cattle, are nucleoprotein complex, which acts selectively on the cell structure of the various parts of the eye that helps to speed up the restoration of the disturbed functions of the body.
Clinical trials "Oftalamin" conducted in 198 patients with ophthalmic pathology, which included degenerative retinal diseases of different etiologies and post-traumatic endothelial-epithelial corneal dystrophy.
Efficiency "Oftalamin" was assessed by subjective and objective indicators. All patients before and after treatment were examined for comprehensive clinical program that included a technique to assess the violation of visual function, blood flow rate, the state of the external and internal layers of the retina, retinal pigment epithelium characteristics. We investigated the sharpness and the width of the visual field, dark adaptation, intraocular pressure, conducted biomicroscopy of anterior segment eye and deep optical media, stereooftalmoskopiya, direct ophthalmoscopy. Also used: vizokontrastometriyu, static and multiple central perimetry, color vision research and fluorescein angiography fundus.
In assessing the clinical and physiological parameters in patients with degenerative diseases of the retina revealed changes in all parts of the eyeball (iris, lens, vitreous, optic nerve), indicating the generalized nature of the pathological process with a tendency to progression.
The studies found that the use at course "Oftalamin" maximum therapeutic effect was observed in patients with early stages of degenerative changes of the retina, which was characterized by an increase in the severity and extension of the visual field (peripheral expansion of borders, reduction or disappearance of paracentral cattle).
The use of "Oftalamin" in post-traumatic disorders of the cornea contributed to the accelerated recovery of the integrity of the epithelial layer of the cornea and improve visual acuity. When uncomplicated recovery process in patients with complete recovery occurred with the disappearance of the phenomena of blepharospasm, photophobia and the final formation of the corneal scar. The use of "Oftalamin" in the postoperative period in patients with partial destruction of the cornea thus avoiding infectious complications and to achieve rapid and sustained engraftment of the corneal graft, reducing the time of treatment, compared with standardized regimens.
